Potters believe clay has life and rightfully so; if you don’t work with clay patiently, it will fall apart completely, most likely taking your hours (sometimes weeks) worth of effort. But when it comes together, you get some of the most beautiful art pieces that one can imagine. In jewelry, it is easy to come across terracotta jewelry which is made with low fire clay and is much easier to work with as compared to Porcelain which tends to require more care while sculpting, much higher temperature to fire, and hence is not generally considered as a viable option to replace terracotta. And replacement is not what we are seeking; Porcelain jewelry as you can see from our work, is exquisite and unique. When fully made, this jewellery is elegant and sophisticated, giving each piece a new age charm. For a truly handmade Porcelain piece, no 2 pieces will be 100% alike.

Making a Porcelain piece takes patience and experimentation, there are many failures and a lot to learn.

We at Raw Bhoomi like to experiment with our designs, colours and glazes, hence each piece is made to order without causing a hole in your pocket. Colours may vary due to lighting and other factors, but we can assure you that the product you receive will be better than the pictures.
